Frames
A frame is an app that runs inside a space.

Most small apps spend their first week on logins, permissions and settings. A frame skips all of that. Open it in a space and it already knows who you are, what you're allowed to do and how the space looks. Share the link and people get the version you published.
Why it matters
- Frames get sign-in, permissions and your theme without building any of it.
- One frame can run in many spaces, each with its own data.
How it works
- A frame is a folder: its pages, a
frame.jsonthat describes it, and optionally a server half that runs on your computer. - Inside a space, a frame already knows who is using it, because the space does. There's no login screen to build.
- It reaches the space's files and tables only as far as its
frame.jsonasks, and you can see what it asks for. - It picks up the space's look, colors and type included, from shared style variables.
- When you open a file with a frame, that choice is the permission. The frame gets that file and nothing else.
- Each frame runs at its own address, so one frame can't read another's storage.
