Catalogs
Where frames come from, and how they stay up to date.

Why it matters
- Find frames other people made, and try one before you keep it.
- Updates arrive when you accept them, never on their own.
How it works
- A catalog is a list of frames at a web address, or in a folder on your computer.
- A frame installed from a catalog remembers where it came from, and you're offered a newer version when there is one.
- Edit a frame yourself and it stops following its catalog, so your changes are never overwritten.
- Point Seamside at a folder to work on frames in place. Your changes show up as updates.
- Try a frame and it runs in your home until you stop it or keep it.
Set it up
- Open Frames and choose Catalogs.
- Add a catalog's address, or a folder.
