Seamside
Works with/Replit

Share your Replit app without a deployment plan.

Build it once in Replit, download the result, and share it from your own computer.

What it takes

  1. Build itIn the Replit Shell, run the build.
    npm run build
  2. Download the outputRight-click the dist folder in the file tree and download it.
  3. Drop it on SeamsideIt unpacks on your computer and gives you a link to share.
  • Free to run
  • Private until you share
  • Only the people you choose
  • Its data on your computer

Two ways to run it

As it is

Host your app as it is

Your built app runs from your computer at a link you share. It keeps using the database and services it already has.

  • Your React app, unchanged
  • Your Supabase or Firebase project, still connected
  • A link that works while your computer is on
On Seamside

Move it onto Seamside

Ask Claude or Cursor to swap the hosted parts for Seamside’s own. Then nothing depends on a subscription.

  • Sign-in, and who can view or edit
  • Its data saved on your computer
  • Its server code running on your computer too
  • No hosted service left to pay for
Move this app onto Seamside. Use Seamside tables instead of Supabase, and Seamside sign-in instead of Supabase Auth.

Questions

Do I have to keep paying Replit?

Not to keep this app online. Build it there if you like, and run it here.

Will my app work as it is?

Most will. Seamside runs the part of your app that lives in the browser, and its own server code is JavaScript. A small Express or Flask backend can be moved over by your editor.

Does my computer need to stay on?

Yes, for people to open what you share. When it’s off, visitors see that it’s offline. A spare computer can keep things up all the time.

Is it really free?

Yes. We don’t host your things, so there’s nothing to charge for. Seamside Plus adds extras for $9 a month, and what you can do today stays free.

Does Seamside use AI?

Seamside itself doesn’t need AI. It hosts and shares what you make, however you made it.
