Agents and MCP
Let the AI in your editor make and update things in Seamside.
Why it matters
- Ask your editor to build something and it lands in Seamside, running on your computer.
- You stay in charge of who sees it.
How it works
- Seamside comes with an MCP server that the AI tools on your computer can use: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, and any other tool that supports MCP.
- You connect a tool from inside Seamside, and it adds itself to that tool's settings. There is nothing to type.
- The first time a tool asks, Seamside asks you to allow it. You're asked once per tool.
- An allowed agent can read your spaces, and make and update pages and frames.
- It can't publish, share or change who has access. Those stay with you.
- Everything an agent makes is private until you share it.
- See each agent, what it did, and stop allowing it under MCP Leases.
Set it up
- On your home, choose Connect your AI, then your tool.
- Choose Set up. Seamside adds itself to that tool's settings.
- The first time the tool asks, choose Allow in the Seamside menu or on MCP Leases.
- For a tool that isn't listed, choose Another tool, then Copy setup, and paste it into the tool's MCP settings.
